Things of the Past
Use the past tense with possessive pronouns (“my,” “your,” etc.) to describe past possessions, relationships, favorites, etc.
Q: Where was your apartment?
A: My apartment was near campus.
Q: What was her favorite subject?
A: Her favorite subject was math.
Q: Who was his advisor?
A: His advisor was Dr. Brumley.
Try to answer questions in a short but complete sentence.
