Past Tense “~ed”
The regular past tense has three pronunciations: /id/, /t/, and /d/.
● For verbs that end in “t” or “d,” pronounce “~ed” as /id/.
I wanted to talk to her before she left.
● For verbs that end in “ch,” “f,” “k,” “p,” “s,” or “sh” pronounce “~ed” as /t/.
He looked at his watch.
● For verbs that end in any other letters, pronounce “~ed” as /d/.
