Parts of the Month
Use the following expressions to specify periods of time within a month:
I am going to go to Japan in August.
He is going to get a haircut on September 4th.
She visited at the beginning of May.*
Our meeting is in the middle of December.*
We make the new schedule at the end of January.*
They are staying from the 3rd to the 6th (of the month).
*These expressions can also be used with “day,” “week,” “year,” or “semester.”
Finals are usually at the end of a semester.
